Sustainability concerns us all - that is what we firmly believe at the Leitner. Together with our team, we are committed to making the world a better place: environmentally, socially and economically. Only in this way can we offer our guests a holiday experience that continues to resonate long after their stay, while preserving the unique character and natural beauty of our homeland for future generations.
Where do our kitchen ingredients come from?
Seasonal and local ingredients are our priority, which is why we work closely with producers from the region. This keeps transport distances short and our food especially fresh. We also tend a small herb garden right next to the hotel.
How do we preserve culture and landscape?
As a family-run hotel, we live South Tyrolean traditions, share excursion tips with you and regularly take you on guided hikes, for example to our own alpine pasture for an afternoon barbecue. In this way, we raise awareness of the special qualities of nature and our culture.
What does sustainable travel look like?
Simply step outside and set off: the Leitner is located directly at the valley station of the Gitschberg-Jochtal ski and hiking area and is well connected to public transport. With the guest card, you can use most services free of charge.
How do we conserve resources?
Comprehensive thermal insulation, triple-glazed windows, a photovoltaic system and flow restrictors are just some examples of how we use resources responsibly. Waste separation and our reusable system are also particularly important to us.
How do we foster a culture of appreciation?
Through a well-coordinated team, fair working conditions and room for professional growth. The well-being of our employees is the foundation of your carefree break. We also provide regular sustainability training so that we can continue to improve.
Responsibility in economic matters too?
Yes, sustainability has long been part of the Leitner's back office too: when making investments and important decisions, we consider environmental, social and economic factors - with foresight and a sense of responsibility towards guests, our team, partners and the entire region.
